• What can you do if your horse is "obedient" but you have difficulties maintaining relaxation? My horse sometimes goes RBI and feels under pressure. Thanks!

• What’s the best way to address the situation of your horse running away? Obviously as you have said don't set yourself up for failure but if it does happen how to address it. And do you address it differently in a small space and a big space?

• I’ve taught my pony to look away prior to the treat, but he still takes the treat with his teeth instead of his lips. How can I change that?

• Why not reward with the treat on the other side of the fence when he does what you want?

• They back up gentlemanly and you say good and you get a lunge at you for that cookie......back up again immediately I guess?

• I have been working on backing for a treat with my chow hound mini. He likes to lay his ears a lot of the time while he does this but I suspect it is because my other horse is nearby and he is being defensive.Do I need a strategy or just ride it out ?

• How many minutes a day training, with lots of treats, do you recommend?

• My horse pins her ears pretty tight, stretches her neck forward, and gets tense when I offer her a carrot from over the fence. If I want her to have a pleasant expression AND not to stretch her neck forward like lunging for the carrot - should I reinforce only ONE behavior at a time? Trying to get her to keep her mouth closed, pleasant look, and keep her face back seems like a lot all at once but maybe I am not waiting long enough for her to get all of it at the same time.

• In his last video with his 3 horses, feeding to each name, without the fence: after they did the behaviour and David gave them a bridge and then fed them - but then added ‘Really Good’ and repeated that phrase. is that a cue? And if so, for what? Does it act as a verbal reinforcer AFTER the behaviour?

• Is there a way to determine what treats the horse like best?

• Curious how to teach “closer”and “bigger”? It is just when they do it randomly and you name it?

• I have an unrelated question so just ignore if not approprate. Is the sensitivity of a horse related to horsenality?

Sit in the Gallery, watch, listen and post questions for two hours, as I advise and coach 3 to 4 students on their individual video submissions. During the event I will share the student videos - stopping, starting and highlighting relevant sections while I discuss with the student my thoughts and suggestions.  Live Q&A throughout.

• Choose the COACHING SESSION option and purchase. If your video is not selected, you will join the other Gallery Students, and I will refund the difference in price.  
• Upload a horizontal format video of 5–15 minutes in length to YouTube (UNLISTED), and email the link to David@DavidLichman.com with the Subject Line: Hitching Post. Include a brief description of you and your horse and what you would like help with. Make the video as high resolution as you can, and try to have someone zoom in and follow the action where possible.  Cell phone video works great.
